First Week of the MTC

Hola everyone!!

Wow this week has definitely been the most stretching, spirit filled, eye-opening, back breaking (literally after sitting in a chair looking at a computer everyday), uplifting week of my life!! I started home mtc last monday and let me tell you it was a whirlwind! From our very first lesson I felt the power and purpose that is present in missionary work! I counted, and I think I wrote "I love being a missionary!" in my journal at least 6 times just this past week alone! In all honesty this week has also humbled me so much as I have realized how much more I have to learn and grow, but every time I have reached out to my Heavenly Father in prayer, he has given me peace and assurance that He will teach me all I need to know "line upon line" and "precept upon precept". Speaking of which, I am learning Spanish! It's definitely a process, but I know as I keep putting in my effort the Lord will help me with the rest!

I also entered the MTC yesterday and it is awesome!! It is so fun to be surrounded by so many missionaries and feel the spirit of the work we are doing! I love my companion, Hermana Holbrook, and my district so much and I can't wait to keep learning with them!

Miracle of the week:
- I know that the Lord takes care of his missionaries! Every time I have felt discouraged this week the spirit has led me to a scripture that gives me peace and comfort to keep moving forward in faith and trusting in Him!

Spiritual Thought:
- One thing I have felt so strongly this week is that God is in control of His work! As a missionary, I have the opportunity to share His message, but I know that it is through the power of His spirit that people can be converted unto Him and gain a testimony of His son Jesus Christ!
D&C 88:84 says, "And whoso receive the you, there I will be also, for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up.
I love this scripture because I know as we follow Jesus Christ and honor our covenants, He will bear us up and lead us as we do His work!

Hola mis queridos amigos!!  I hope you're all doing well! This week was probably one of the craziest and hardest weeks of my mission so far, but I know God gives us trials and changes to help us grow so I'm really trusting in Him right now! We received news on Tuesday during interviews that my companion Hermana Barrott is getting transferred mid transfer and she's leaving me 😭  I've been on the verge of tears all week, and I am just going to miss her so much!! 2 Months in the Mission!!

Hola mis amigos!! I have officially been on my mission for 2 months this week, and I can't believe I'm already here! Adjusting to being a missionary is not an easy thing all the time. There are moments when I feel inadequate or lost with the Spanish or super tired or hot (it's literally so hot here haha) BUT I can promise that the joy of sharing the light of Jesus Christ outweighs it all! Jesus Christ and His atonement are what keeps me going, and I know with them I can face any challenge that are sure to come my way on my mission and in my life!  This week was full of so many miracles, and I can just promise that God is in charge of this work! He uses imperfect servants like me to complete His magnificent work, and I am just filled with Joy to be a part of it! Feliz Año Nuevoo

Hola mis queridos amigos!! 🥳🎆 Feliz año nuevo (happy new year)!! I can't believe it's already 2025!! As I was reflecting on this year I realized that I have been a missionary for half of 2024 and it is amazing!! The time has truly flown by which kind of scares me that the rest of my mission will do the same, but I am truly so grateful for every moment so far on my mission and the people I have been able to meet and serve and love! Being a missionary is not always easy, but it is truly the most fulfilling and joyfilled work anyone could ever do and I am so excited to spend 2025 continuing to serve the people of Spain ðŸ’› Highlights/ Fun facts: - This week my companions and I have really been focusing on talking to as many people as we can during our travels because between balancing lessons with friends from both areas and also trying to work with the JAs (young adults) we don't have a ton of time in our schedule to focus on finding, and we have seen so many miracles!
