2 Months in the Mission!!

Hola mis amigos!!

I have officially been on my mission for 2 months this week, and I can't believe I'm already here! Adjusting to being a missionary is not an easy thing all the time. There are moments when I feel inadequate or lost with the Spanish or super tired or hot (it's literally so hot here haha) BUT I can promise that the joy of sharing the light of Jesus Christ outweighs it all! Jesus Christ and His atonement are what keeps me going, and I know with them I can face any challenge that are sure to come my way on my mission and in my life!

This week was full of so many miracles, and I can just promise that God is in charge of this work! He uses imperfect servants like me to complete His magnificent work, and I am just filled with Joy to be a part of it!

We started off the week going to Madrid for Zone conference where I got to see some of my besties from the MTC and meet a bunch of missionaries which was awesome! We also had some great trainings that were super applicable to our area, so we're excited to start applying them! I love President and Sister Eastland so much and I'm grateful for their wisdom and love for us!

Also, we had an amazing lesson with our friend Emilio on Thursday and he accepted the invitation to be baptized!!! I am so excited for him and I could just feel the love God has for him in that lesson which was amazing! He still has a little ways to go to be prepared so please pray for him, but I know God is aware of him and I am so hopeful for him!

Miracle:
We were on our way to an appointment, and I saw a mom and a daughter sitting on a bench and I felt prompted to go talk to them! They were sooo sweet and were learning Spanish because they only knew French before coming here so we bonded over that haha We shared a little message, and gave them our number and two little smiley buttons šŸ˜ƒ (shout out to my amazing mom for sending me them to share) and left. I was so sad though because I forgot to get their number, and I prayed we would see them again. Then on our way back from our appointment we happened to run into them and she was wearing the buttons and kissing them and it made me so happy!! I know God is aware of them and of me and He can work miracles!!

Spiritual Thought:
Something I have been learning so far on my mission is the power of prayer! As a missionary we say more prayers in a day than I ever have in my entire life! We pray constantly to have the Spirit with us and to be guided for what to say or to bless our friends and ourselves with peace and comfort.
Here's a scripture I love from my personal study this week, Jacob 3:1,
"1 But behold, I, Jacob, would speak unto you that are pure in heart. Look unto God with firmness of mind, and pray unto him with exceeding faith, and he will console you in your afflictions, and he will plead your cause, and send down justice upon those who seek your destruction."
I just want to testify the GOD HEARS US!! We may not always get the answers we want or in the time we want, but I know He listens and gives us the blessings and guidance we need then! When we come to Him in faith and with sincere hearts, He will bless us with comfort and guidance and love every time!

I love you all so much, and I would love to hear from you!!
