A week of miracles here in Móstoles!
Hola mis amigos mejores!!
Well everyone, I finished my first full week here in Móstoles, and I can officially say that I am in the best place doing the most amazing work possible and it is incredible! Even though there are definitely hard moments, I have seen God's hand directing His work and I just get to be a witness to His miracles! This week was awesome! We were able to find a lot of super amazing friends and share messages with them about our Savior Jesus Christ and God's plan for all of us and I just love it!
It's also been SUPER hot this week, but I'm happy to report that I have not yet melted and "hace mucho calor!!" (It's super hot!) makes for a great conversation starter so I'm grateful for that! My Spanish is coming along slowly but surely, and it is so cool to witness God helping me understand a little more every day!
Even though adjusting to being a missionary or to any new situation or challenge in our life is not always easy, I can testify that God does not leave us alone in this process! Throughout the past couple weeks He has given me reminders of His presence through my companion lifting me up, a testimony in church, a hug from a member, a feeling of peace in my heart, or a new sense of joy and love for the people around me! I know all of these things are from God because He is aware of me and loves me, and I know He loves you too! So I invite you to look this week for ways you can see God lifting you up and reminding you that He is there because I know He is!!
Miracles: We had a bunch of lessons this week which is a miracle in and of itself, but throughout these lessons I have been trying to focus on listening to the Spirit as I teach because I need help knowing what to say and how to say it in Spanish a lot! This week as we were having a lesson with our friend Alvaro, I had an impression that I needed to testify to him that God was aware of him specifically, because he is a precious son of God. As I said this, he started to tear up (my comp and I started tearing up too) and as I looked at him I could just feel the love God has for him and it was so beautiful! I am so grateful for the guidance of the Spirit and the love God has for each of His children that He knows individually and perfectly!!
Spiritual Thought: I have been reminded this week that God is in charge of this work of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world and He is a God if miracles!! I am learning that as I simply put my confidence and faith in Him and His son Jesus Christ, He will do more than I ever could alone!
2 Nephi 26:13 says,
"13 And that he manifesteth himself unto all those who believe in him, by the power of the Holy Ghost; yea, unto every nation, kindred, tongue, and people, working mighty miracles, signs, and wonders, among the children of men according to their faith."
I know as we put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ and strive to follow Him, God will work miracles in our lives!
I love you all so much and feel free to reach out anytime!!
Todo mi amor,
Hermana Hardy 💛
