Time flies when you're having fun serving the Lord!
Hola mis amigos!!
I can't believe it's already been a week! We were super busy this week and it literally flew by! We were able to meet with a ton of our members and friends and let's just say I never had trouble falling asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow this week! I love it!!Highlights/ Fun facts:
- Móstoles had fiestas this week so that means the streets were packed with people and street vendors and tons of cool decorations and even fireworks on wednesday night!! I'm honestly not entirely sure what they are celebrating, but it reminded me of the fair at home and it was so fun to see so many people out and about!
- My district has a funny obsession with the card game Skull King so I'm getting pretty good at it 😅
- We had some funny experiences with the buses this week because they had some modified schedules due to the fiestas! We did get stuck in a pueblito (small town outside of the city), but thankfully a bus ended up coming and we made it home!
- We started teaching our friend Consuelo last week, and she is AMAZING! She is so ready to accept the gospel! She waited an hour to catch a bus to get to church this Sunday, and she told me she felt so much peace and she wants to bring her kids next week! I love her!!
Miracle: We were walking to a member's house, and we passed a lady on a bench that we decided to go back and talk to. She ended up being super sweet but not really interested so we kept going. Then we passed another lady that was now sitting on a bench and I decided to compliment her shoes. We kept walking, but then she came running up to us and asked me my shoe size so she could give them to me the next time she saw me! I kindly told her she didn't need to give me her shoes, but we ended up having a cool conversation and she invited us over to her house next week to talk about God and asked for our number (which never happens)!! Her name is Emilia and she's awesome!
Spiritual Thought: Throughout my short time on my mission so far, I am realizing every day the power of prayer! I was reading in Mosiah 26 this week which is about the story of Alma trying to figure out how to help solve some problems among his people and I read verse 13 which says,
"And now the spirit of Alma was again troubled; and he went and inquired of the Lord what he should do concerning this matter"
This verse just really hit me this week because the Spirit was reminding me the power of prayer to handle any situation we are facing! We have the ability to communicate with our Father in Heaven at all times and I was reminded that we should use it!! I know that Heavenly Father hears our prayers and He can help us find solutions to our problems and peace in turmoil when we come to Him! I love you all and I invite you to join me this week in turning to God in prayer and inquiring of Him because He is always there to help, guide, and comfort us!!
I love you all soo much!! Thank you so much for your emails! I love hearing from you!

- Waiting at the bus stop for the bus to show up to take out of the pueblito (a lot of prayers were said so don't be fooled by our faces haha)

- cute little Oliver with a smiley pin 😀
- us on the bus after we missed our stop and it started taking us the wrong direction on the freeway! (don't worry we were able to get off and flag down a bus back 😅)
- our bestie María!! She is moving back to her country this week so this was one of our last lessons with her before we have to send her to the missionaries in her area and it was actually super sad, but I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to know and love her 💛
