A week of JOY!!!

Hola mis queridos amigos!!

This week was absolutely fantastic!! We had some amazing opportunities to see our friends choosing to progress and grow closer to Christ and that is by far my favorite part of my mission! The gospel of Jesus Christ is JOYFUL! I also turned 20 this Saturday, and it was amazing! I had a really awesome day and felt so loved!

Highlights/ Fun facts:

- We had a lesson with Consuelo and her son Antonio this week, and they both accepted the invitation to be baptized next month!!! The spirit was soo strong during the lesson as we taught about the gospel of Jesus Christ and baptism, and when we asked Consuelo if she was willing to be baptized, she looked at us with tears in her eyes and said yes! Let's just say there wasn't a dry eye in that lesson 😊 I seriously love their family sooo much it amazes me, and I am soo excited for them!!
- We had exchanges this week so Hermana Sowards came to Móstoles on Friday and I got to lead out the area for a day! It was super fun because she started her mission here in Móstoles and now she's about to finish her mission! We got to have some fun reunions for her, knock some doors, and have a great lesson with our friend Luisa! I love learning from other missionaries and it was a great learning experience for me leading the area for a bit 😃 
- I had a fabulous birthday on Saturday, and honestly it might be my favorite birthday yet! My wonderful comp made me crepes for breakfast, we ate lunch with our bestie Diana's family and they all sang to me, we went to our friends Emilia and Agusto house and they threw me a SURPRISE PARTY!!, and we got to watch conference with Consuelo's family and a few other friends!! I seriously felt so loved and blessed to be able to spend my birthday with all of these wonderful people doing the most wonderful work in the world 💛
- Speaking of General Conference, it was amazing!! We got to watch with so many of our friends this weekend, and I am so grateful for the wisdom and love of our prophet and apostles and the opportunity to learn from them and feel the peace from their guidance! 

Miracle: 

We had a lesson with our wonderful friend Adriana this week, and one of our super awesome members named Franklin joined us! We were teaching about the Plan of Salvation, and Adriana was loving it but she definitely has some deeper questions about her relationship with God. Franklin was able to answer a lot of her questions and they actually bonded really well, but as we were teaching her that God loves her and hears her prayers, the Spirit was so strong and I was just filled with the love God has for her! Even though she has to figure these things out for herself, I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to be on this journey with her and feel a glimpse of the love our Heavenly Father has for her 💛

Spiritual Thought: 

I was reading in Alma this week about when Ammon is teaching King Lamoni about Jesus Christ and His gospel, and I was struck by how Ammon described his conversion. He said that king Lamoni was filled with the light of the glory of God which dispelled all the darkness of unbelief and "this light had infused such JOY into his soul" (Alma 19:6)!! I love this phrase because it is soo true!! Having faith in Jesus Christ and living his gospel doesn't mean that all of the sudden your life is going to be perfect and easy, BUT being truly converted to Christ INFUSES JOY INTO YOUR SOUL so that even when life is hard and there are challenges, we have joy knowing we have a Savior to love and support us through it all! I love Jesus Christ and the opportunity to be out here on my mission tasting of the joy of his gospel as I become more converted every day, and watching others experience this joy as well! 

I invite you all to look for the joy this week, and if you're having a hard time finding it, look to Jesus Christ because I promise you He is there 💛

Hola mis queridos amigos!!  I hope you're all doing well! This week was probably one of the craziest and hardest weeks of my mission so far, but I know God gives us trials and changes to help us grow so I'm really trusting in Him right now! We received news on Tuesday during interviews that my companion Hermana Barrott is getting transferred mid transfer and she's leaving me 😭  I've been on the verge of tears all week, and I am just going to miss her so much!! 2 Months in the Mission!!

Hola mis amigos!! I have officially been on my mission for 2 months this week, and I can't believe I'm already here! Adjusting to being a missionary is not an easy thing all the time. There are moments when I feel inadequate or lost with the Spanish or super tired or hot (it's literally so hot here haha) BUT I can promise that the joy of sharing the light of Jesus Christ outweighs it all! Jesus Christ and His atonement are what keeps me going, and I know with them I can face any challenge that are sure to come my way on my mission and in my life!  This week was full of so many miracles, and I can just promise that God is in charge of this work! He uses imperfect servants like me to complete His magnificent work, and I am just filled with Joy to be a part of it! We started off the week going to Madrid for Zone conference where I got to see some of my besties from the MTC and meet a bunch of missionaries which was awesome! Feliz Año Nuevoo

Hola mis queridos amigos!! 🥳🎆 Feliz año nuevo (happy new year)!! I can't believe it's already 2025!! As I was reflecting on this year I realized that I have been a missionary for half of 2024 and it is amazing!! The time has truly flown by which kind of scares me that the rest of my mission will do the same, but I am truly so grateful for every moment so far on my mission and the people I have been able to meet and serve and love! Being a missionary is not always easy, but it is truly the most fulfilling and joyfilled work anyone could ever do and I am so excited to spend 2025 continuing to serve the people of Spain 💛 Highlights/ Fun facts: - This week my companions and I have really been focusing on talking to as many people as we can during our travels because between balancing lessons with friends from both areas and also trying to work with the JAs (young adults) we don't have a ton of time in our schedule to focus on finding, and we have seen so many miracles!
