I Love Fall!
Hola mis queridos amigos!!
Another week down and this one just flew by!! I'm still working away here in M贸stoles and I love it! I know a lot of people say this about their first area, but M贸stoles truly is a blessed place and I never want to leave!
Highlights/ Fun facts:
- We taught a lot of the lessons to prepare our friends for their baptisms this week, and they are lessons that I had never taught especially not it Spanish which was super interesting but we made it through with only a few hiccups haha (explaining tithing is a little rough in another language 馃槄) however thankfully all of our friends are still on track to be baptized on their dates and I am so excited for them!!
- Our friend Adriana works as a driver on the night shift, so she doesn't get home until early in the morning and it's really hard for her to get up in the morning especially for 10am church. BUT, we walked in to the chapel this Sunday and there she was sitting on a pew!! She is amazing! Bishop also announced her baptism on next Sunday and all of the members were going up to her and making her feel welcome and I was sooo happy!!
- Our friend Consuelo has been sick for the past couple weeks so they haven't been able to come to church, but I have been praying so hard for her to get better and be able to come and this Sunday she showed up with her three adorable kids and we were even able to have a lesson with them after church as well! They are amazing!!
- We were able to go to the temple as a district on Wednesday and do an endowment session, and it was so wonderful to be in the temple especially surrounded by so many spirit-filled missionaries and remember my covenants and the blessings of eternity! I always find so much peace in the temple 馃挍
- We had zone conference this week and we had some awesome trainings that gave me motivation to keep working hard in my area! I also got to see some of my gals from the Mtc which I always love, and I love President and Hermana Eastland too so it was fun to see them!!
Miracle:
We were coming back from a member meal in a pueblo this week and as we were walking to the back of the bus with the Elders, I passed a lady who smiled at me. Something about her struck me, but I kept walking and sat in the back of the bus. I kept thinking about her though, so I decided to just go up and sit by her and talk to her. I told her I just saw her smiling face and felt like I needed to talk to her and she said to me, "of course, because we are sisters in Christ!" Her name is Carmen and we were able to have a sweet conversation about Christ and the church, and she said she wanted to come visit ours so I got her number and hopefully she will be able to come soon 馃挍
Spiritual thought:
I as reading in Alma 38 this week which is when Alma is talking to his son Shiblon and you guys, I LOVE Shiblon!! He is just steadfast and strong in righteousness which is exactly what I strive to be! On my mission I have realized the power in being consistent and diligent in doing the right thing! If we consistently put in our efforts to be righteous and obedient and serve God every day, blessings come and we will have JOY!
I know as we are steadfast in our faith in Christ He will be with us to strengthen us to keep going and give us joy and peace in the process!
My invitation to you all is to BE LIKE SHIBLON and do the little things every day this week to stay close to our Savior and continue pressing forward in faith 馃挍
I love hearing from you! Feel free to reach out and let me know how you're doing 馃槉
