Faith in Every Footstep
Hola a mis queridos amigos 🤗
Highlights/ Fun facts:
- On Tuesday we met with our friend Alejandro, who I found through Facebook, and we had one of the most spiritual lessons I've ever had on my mission! We taught him about the Plan of Salvation and as we were teaching he just kept saying, "wow I have never heard this before, this is amazing!!" It was so beautiful to watch my friend that I care about so much learn about God's perfect plan for the first time and to be able to feel the spirit testifying of its truthfulness as we testified! We also had 2 amazing members in the lesson that truly added so much to the spirit in different ways and I was so grateful that the Spirit had told us to invite both of them to the lesson 😀
- We took a long bus down to Madrid on Wednesday and it was soo fun to be back in Madrid! Don't get me wrong I looove Pamplona, but going to Madrid felt like going home for a bit which I loved 💛
- We had some super awesome trainings in zone conference that I'm super excited to start applying in our areas!!
- I also saw some of my favorite people there!! Diana (recent convert from Mostoles) came to the conference and it was sooo fun to see her!! I love her so much! I also got to see Hermana Hunsaker (my trainer) who I hadn't seen since I ended training, Hermana Haslam, Hermana Barrott, Hermana Finch from the MTC (shoutout to the mtc district!!), and so many more!!
- Friday we had a lesson with our friend Nieves who is on date for the end of February, and we asked an amazing recent convert named Esperanza to join us in the lesson!! We taught about the word of wisdom and Esperanza was able to powerfully testify about how God helped her give up coffee and they ended up really hitting it off!! Then on Sunday they were sitting by each other and Esperanza invited her over to her house! I love them both so much!!
- We met with the cutest woman from Nigeria named Vivian and her kids on Friday and we were able to chat and read from the Book of Mormon with her while her cute little daughter did our hair and it was adorable!! The spirit was so strong and we were even able to sing together! Then she ended up coming to church with her kids on Sunday for her first time in a super long time!!
- Saturday we had all of the 5 lessons we had planned cancel on us, but it turned into one of my favorite days!! We were able to just let the spirit guide us as we kept working diligently and we were actually able to still have a lesson with one of our friends named Jenny in her store!
Miracle:
I have been pondering a lot lately on what it means to truly have faith to find, and I have realized that it is something that I definitely need to work on. So, this Sunday night it was 9:45pm and we still hadn't found anyone in the Pamplona 1 area and I was determined to show God that we had the faith to find. So, I said to my companion that I was going to call people who had been previously taught in our contacts until 10pm and I believed God would provide someone who was ready to listen! So I called a woman named Sonia, and ended up being able to teach her a lesson right there on the phone and setting up a lesson for Saturday! She is super cool and I'm so excited to keep teaching her! It was also such a testament to me that God truly can use our faith to work miracles and help us find the people he is preparing!
Spiritual Thought:
This week I have been thinking a lot about faith, and during my study of the Book of Mormon I read this scripture that I've probably read a million times but it really stuck out to me,
Ether 12:18
"And neither at any time hath any wrought miracles until after their faith; wherefore they first believed in the Son of God."
I love this because I know that as we choose to have faith in Jesus Christ first, even when things don't turn our the way we want immediately, He can and will work actual miracles in our lives!!
I invite you all to ponder on your faith in the Son of God and think of one way that you could exercise it a little more this week, and I promise you that you will be able to see miracles both big and small in your life every day!
