Feliz AƱo Nuevoo
Hola mis queridos amigos!! š„³š

Highlights/ Fun facts:
- This week my companions and I have really been focusing on talking to as many people as we can during our travels because between balancing lessons with friends from both areas and also trying to work with the JAs (young adults) we don't have a ton of time in our schedule to focus on finding, and we have seen so many miracles! This week we were on a bus and a woman named Angela sat next to us so I started talking to her! She said she was catholic as most do, but I felt like I should show her the Book of Mormon. She ended up being super interested, and asked us where she could get one of them. We told her the one she was holding is hers, and she was so excited! We also got her number and set up a time for next week and then we got off the bus just in time! It has been amazing to see how God just puts people in our paths as we trust in Him š
- We've been able to have quite a few lessons and videocalls with our friend Maria Mercedes who is getting baptized this Friday and she is AMAZING!! She has more faith than anyone I have ever met and I feel so grateful to be able to know her! We taught her about the word of wisdom last week and she said, "Well I guess I'm giving up coffee!" And then this week she said "hermanitas!! Guess what, I haven't drank coffee in 8 days!!" (Since the time she found out about it!!) When we taught her about keeping the sabbath day holy she said, "Hermanas, I didn't even know about this but my boss asked me to work on Sunday morning and I told him no because I need to go to church!!" Also we taught her about the law tithing and then we asked if she would be willing to follow it and she said, "well it's a commandment isn't it? Of course I will!" This woman has never read the Bible or gone to a church before and now she studies and analyzes the Book of Mormon, comes to church, and testifies to us how this truly is her time to find God and I just love her sooo much š
Miracle:
This week we had a miracle of sooo many of our friends and recent converts come to church! One of our friends named Ines told us she was going to be out of town this weekend, but then I was amazed when she walked into church with her daughter on Sunday! Also, we had almost all of our recent converts come to church this week including one who hasn't been in a long time and she said she's coming back next week!! It is just so beautiful to watch our friends use their agency to come closer to Christ š
Spiritual Thought:
I have been reading in 3 Nefi recently in the Book of Mormon and I love learning from the words of Jesus himself! One of the verses I read really struck me,
3 Nefi 22: 10,
"For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee."
I love this verse because it reminds me that no matter how many changes and challenges we go through in life we always have a kind and loving Savior who never leaves us, and through the anchor of our covenants we can find peace! I am so grateful for the covenants I have made and the opportunity I have to help others do the same! I know that we can always find peace and kindness from Jesus Christ who is ever loving and merciful!!
I invite you all to start this new year looking for ways to invite others to come unto Christ, to feel of His love and peace š
I love you all so much!!
