It's just you, me, and Pamplona

Hola mis queridos amigos!!

What a wonderful and slightly chaotic week it has been here in Pamplona! This was our first full week with just Hermana Amado and I running both of our areas and it has been crazy but awesome!! We have seen some amazing miracles, and I have definitely fallen asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow every night!

Highlights/ Fun facts:

- We started meeting with our friend named Erika this week and she is so cool!! She has some really awesome questions and it is so cool to see her learn and understand about the restored church and the Book of Mormon!!
- We also started meeting with our friend Alejandro who we found through Facebook and he is sooo prepared! He has such a desire to learn and it's been super cool to watch as he learns more and starts to pray and read the Book of Mormon!! We have also had some pretty amazing Hermanas (and little friends) help us in our lessons with him which has been so cute 😄
- We met with Nieves this week and she chose a date to be baptized!! She is planning for the end of February and I couldn't be more excited for her! She is literally an angel and I am so grateful to know her 😊
- We met with our friend Leafar this week and his family who have recently moved here from Venezuela and they are so amazing!! We had a super great lesson with Leafar about faith and the Book of Mormon and he is super prepared!! Also his parents fed us these super fancy hot dogs that were so yummy! It was awesome!!
- We got to have a cute little call with Maria Mercedes this week and I just love her so much! She has such a desire to learn more about the gospel and a love for the scriptures every time we read with her! She inspires me 😊
- We visited our friends Happiness and Joy this week from Nigeria and when we got there, a man named Paul was there who is actually Joy's fiance who we've never met because he's only free on weekends! We ended up finding out that he's met with missionaries before and read the Book of Mormon and is super interested! We had a great lesson with them about faith, repentance, and baptism and they all said that baptism is a goal for them! I am so excited to keep teaching them and helping them learn more!

Miracle:

This Sunday was the most chaotic and busy Sunday I've had on my mission in the best way!! We had 9 of our lovely friends show up to church some for the first time! Between translating and making sure they were all taken care of and in their classes it made for a crazy couple of hours but it was so beautiful! One of the Elder's friends had her baptism right after church as well and almost all of our friends were able to stay and watch!! It was amazing!!

Spiritual thought:

We have had to do some serious organizing and problem solving this week as we have tried to balance all the friends in both areas, while also trying to find. At first it seemed a little overwhelming, but I was reading in Ether the other day and I came across the story of the brother of Jared and the stones he asked the Lord to light and I had a realization. The brother of Jared was faced with a challenge that seemed a bit impossible, but the Lord didn't just give him the answer, He told him to search out a solution with faith and that is exactly what the brother of Jared did! He picked up some stones and decided to have the faith that the Lord would be able to make more out of his idea than he could. So, he brought them to the Lord and HE DID! I realized it's the same principle with missionary work and with our lives! The Lord expects us to bring our meager solutions and efforts to Him, and then He multiplies and magnifies what we give Him into more than we can even imagine through our faith!!
I invite you all to bring your ideas and solutions to the Lord with faith and watch the miracles He will work in your lives 😄

I love you all so much!! Have a wonderful week and please feel free to reach out any time!!
