Party Hardy!
Hola a todos!!
We had another awesome week here in Pamplona and the weeks are just flying by! God is truly blessing the work here in Pamplona and preparing people who truly want to hear his message š All I can say is faith works and miracles are real!!
Highlights/ Fun facts:
- The Elders in my district recently discovered how well my last name sounds with the word party in front of it, hence the title of the email, so now the running joke is putting random things I do in front of Hardy which has made for a pretty silly week!
-This transfer our mission is really focusing on reaching out and calling all of our members in our areas that have not been to church in a while and trying to get to know them and we have seen some awesome miracles from it! This week we visited our friend Vivian's family again and her husband was there who wasn't a member of the church and he's super interested in learning more so it was soo cool!!
- We had a lesson with our friend Nieves this week and she is just the cutest person ever! She told us that she came to the church that day feeling kind of down and pretty stressed, but as soon as she walked in the doors of the church she told us she noticed this big wave of peace fall over her and she felt like her burdens were lighter which is just soo cool because she is truly so faithful and I'm so grateful to be in a church that provides us so much peace in christ even just by walking in the building!
- We met with our friend Rita this week and she is soo cute! She told us she wasn't sure after coming to church last week if she should keep coming because she's still learning Spanish and it's sometimes hard for her to feel like she belongs when she doesn't understand everything, but she said this week she just remembered all the peace she felt by being in the church and she decided she wants to keep coming and be a member! So cool!
- We had an activity for the young adults this week that was so fun! We gave a cute spiritual thought and then played games and ate pizza š Also our recent convert invited her friend Ana who has come to a few activities and she came to the activity and then came to church which was amazing!! We're hoping to start teaching her as well š
Miracle:
This week my miracle is our friend Alejandro!! We had a lesson with him over videocall on Tuesday and as we were teaching him about the gospel of Jesus christ we just felt so strongly that we needed to invite him to be baptized and so we did and he was so excited!! He is getting baptized on February 16th and I am just truly so amazed by his faith! He came to church on Sunday and he told us in our lesson after that he decided he's never going to work on Sundays again and we can count on him every week! Truly his desire to repent and change inspire me and I am so grateful that God lead him to us!!
Spiritual thought:
I've been thinking this week about what it means to truly change and grow as a person and as a disciple of Christ and sometimes I wonder if I'm truly changing or how it is possible to become more like Him and was reading in Moroni 10:32 which says,
"Come unto Christ and be perfected in Him"
This really struck me because I realized that if we truly want to become like Jesus Christ, we need to come to Him and as we do, He will change us for the better! Spending time with our Savior allows us to grow closer to Him and change little by little to become like Him! It's as simple as that!
This week I invite you all to come a little closer to Christ and notice the changes that He will make in your life and in YOU!
