Sweet is the Work!

Hola mis queridos amigos!! 

Happy Easter!! I hope you all were able to enjoy celebrating the resurrection of our Savior!! It is so joyful and I know He lives!

I can't believe it's already been a week and I'm writing again! We had a busy week and just keep seeing so many miracles!

Highlights/ Fun facts:

- We met with our cute friend Itzel on Tuesday and as we were teaching about the gospel of Jesus Christ we felt super prompted to invite her to be baptized! She agreed and was just smiling and so excited! Then she came to church on Sunday and stayed for the baptism after and was just so cute and excited for her own! 
- We went out to visit a member named rosemary and her daughters on Tuesday who live in a far away pueblo and haven't been visited since they moved here from Peru, but they are so cute and we had a great time visiting with them!!
- We met with our friend Naid on Wednesday and as we were teaching her about the gospel and specifically baptism, we also felt prompted to invite her to be baptized and she said yes as well!! She is so cute and always has such a desire to learn and understand ☺️
- On Wednesday after our game night we met with our friend Alicia who has been being taught by the missionaries for a while and ended up deciding she needed more time after having a baptismal date a month or so ago, but we've been meeting with her recently and she chose her own date for this Saturday! She is so prepared and we are so excited for her!
- We had Zone conference this week and it went great! We had some great trainings from President and Hermana Eastland and our training went great! The spirit was so strong and I loved everything we learned!
- On Friday I got to have an exchange with my bestie Hermana Haslam and it was so fun!! We had an amazing and busy day together and I just loved being able to testify with Hermana Haslam again and feel her wonderful Spirit! 
- We had the chance to go visit our friend Kelly today and it turned out to be her birthday! We brought her a treat got to sing and teach a super spiritual lesson to her and her family about the atonement and the resurection and it was exactly what she needed to hear!!
- On Saturday we had a super fun day wirh our recent convert Leire and our friend Alicia! We ate poke bowls in the sun and walked around some shops set up for holy week and I loved it!
- We were walking home from church and passed a girl and I felt like I should ask her if she wanted to hear a message about Jesus Christ! I've gotten a lot of rejection lately so I was a bit taken aback when she gave me an enthusiastic, "sí!" Her name is Maritza and we were able to share a message with her about Easter and we're going to meet with her again on Saturday!

Miracle: 

I was doing some calls for friends who had been taught in the past and I called a girl named Jazmin! She had actually had a baptismal date in the past, but hadn't been baptized because of some issues she had. But, she said she wanted to come back and she came to church on Sunday, reconnected with some members that she had become friends with, stayed for the baptism, and told me she had interest in meeting again! It was amazing!

Spiritual Thought: 

My message is short and simple this week, but I just want to share that I know our Savior lives that He guides His church today and He is willing to have an active role in our lives as we allow Him in ❤️

Hola mis queridos amigos!!  I hope you're all doing well! This week was probably one of the craziest and hardest weeks of my mission so far, but I know God gives us trials and changes to help us grow so I'm really trusting in Him right now! We received news on Tuesday during interviews that my companion Hermana Barrott is getting transferred mid transfer and she's leaving me 😭  I've been on the verge of tears all week, and I am just going to miss her so much!! 2 Months in the Mission!!

Hola mis amigos!! I have officially been on my mission for 2 months this week, and I can't believe I'm already here! Adjusting to being a missionary is not an easy thing all the time. There are moments when I feel inadequate or lost with the Spanish or super tired or hot (it's literally so hot here haha) BUT I can promise that the joy of sharing the light of Jesus Christ outweighs it all! Jesus Christ and His atonement are what keeps me going, and I know with them I can face any challenge that are sure to come my way on my mission and in my life!  This week was full of so many miracles, and I can just promise that God is in charge of this work! He uses imperfect servants like me to complete His magnificent work, and I am just filled with Joy to be a part of it! Feliz Año Nuevoo

Hola mis queridos amigos!! 🥳🎆 Feliz año nuevo (happy new year)!! I can't believe it's already 2025!! As I was reflecting on this year I realized that I have been a missionary for half of 2024 and it is amazing!! The time has truly flown by which kind of scares me that the rest of my mission will do the same, but I am truly so grateful for every moment so far on my mission and the people I have been able to meet and serve and love! Being a missionary is not always easy, but it is truly the most fulfilling and joyfilled work anyone could ever do and I am so excited to spend 2025 continuing to serve the people of Spain ðŸ’› Highlights/ Fun facts: - This week my companions and I have really been focusing on talking to as many people as we can during our travels because between balancing lessons with friends from both areas and also trying to work with the JAs (young adults) we don't have a ton of time in our schedule to focus on finding, and we have seen so many miracles!
