One year in the service of the Lord!

Hola mis amigos!!

Another week down here in the service of the Lord and it was a great one!! Tomorrow I will officially have been a missionary for 1 whole year!! Time has truly flown by so fast and it's a bittersweet moment. I am so grateful for all of the beautiful, life changing experiences I have had the past year and I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for the next 6 months!

Highlights:
- This Tuesday the Hermanas from Pamplona, Hermana Romriell and Hermana Finch came to Bilbao for our exchanges! I got to spend the day with Hermana Romriell and it was awesome! This is her first transfer in the mission field and she is absolutely killing it! We had some great lessons and just an awesome day!
- On Wednesday we got to drive out with the Frandsens to visit our recent convert Lizbeth who had never been visited by the missionaries in her house before! She made us a delicious meal and we got to meet her son who lives with her and teach him a lesson! We gave him a Book of Mormon and he seemed interested in reading it!!
- On Wednesday afternoon we took a bus down to Logroño for exchanges!! I got to spend the day with Hermana Egbert and we had a great day! I just love her and we were able to work hard and see some great miracles!
- We met with our friend Cristina on Friday and she is so awesome! She came to church on Sunday and loved it! She participated in relief society and wants to keep learning and growing!
- On Friday we met a new friend named Maggy bright and early and went to a café for a lesson! She is absolutely amazing and told us she has realized that she's missing something in life and is looking for something to fill that emptiness in her! We told her she is looking in the right place and Jesus Christ can fill that space! She also said that she has a friend in the states who is a member that recommended to her to look for the church and so she did! It was amazing!!
- On Saturday night we had a talent show night as a ward and it was so fun! All the different groups participated and it was so cute! We even sang as all the missionaries and I loved it ☺️
- This Sunday we had a new friend named Alis come to the church and she had to run all the way there because her bus card wasn't working so she barely missed the meeting, but we were able to have a great lesson with her! Our recent convert Alicia was able to join us in the lesson and she was perfect!! She shared the most beautiful testimony and they hit it off!! I love her so much and I'm so excited to keep teaching Alis!

Miracle: On our exchange in Logroño on Thursday, Hermana Egbert and I had the opportunity to teach English class! During the class a woman and her mom walked in towards the end. We finished the class and went over to talk to them and I felt like I should ask them if they wanted to stay to talk about our message as missionaries. They said yes and we were able to have an awesome lesson with them!! The daughters name is Nelly and she had met with missionaries before in Bolivia, and the Mom's name was Julietta and she asked the golden question, "why are there so many churches and how do you know which one is the true one?" We were able to teach about the restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ and they loved it!!

Spiritual Thought:
This week I was reading in the New testament, in 2 Corinthians, and I read a verse that really stuck out to me! Paul is talking about his gratitude for his weaknesses and struggles because they allow Christ to come in with His grace and make Him strong. He quotes Jesus saying,

"My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness."
(2 Cor 12:9)

I love this because it gives me a new perspective for how I should look at my weaknesses! They are not unnecessary burdens or flaws they are opportunities to let Jesus Christ use his grace to strengthen me ♥️

I love you all so much and feel free to reach out any time!!
