Second Summer in the Sun!
I hope you all had an amazing week! This week was a crazy week full of emotions, but I have loved it! I made it safe and sound to my new area TorrejΓ³n and I am loving it! It is suuuper hot, but I absolutely love my new companion Hermana Shoetz and we are working super hard, so I'm really excited for what this transfer has in store
Highlights:
- On Monday we said goodbye to sweet Hermana Takahashi and sent her off to the States! She will be missed, but I'm so excited for her to start the next chapter of her life! Then we became a trio!!
- Monday night we met with Cristina one last time and it was such a bitter sweet lesson. She is going through a lot and just opened up to us about a lot about her struggles and we were just able to testify to her about the power of Jesus Christ's atonement to hear her and it was so powerful!
- On Tuesday we met with our friend Alis and recent convert Alicia in the park and had a great lesson just answering her questions and it was great! I also had to say goodbye to Alicia and it was super sad. She was tearing up as we hugged goodbye and I just love her so much

- We also met with my bestie Jaz on Tuesday night and we had an amazing lesson! We met in Briggitte and Carlos' house and Jaz's boyfriend David finally agreed to join us in the lesson! We were able to share a message about eternal families and then... Jaz told us that they're getting married!!! I was so excited I started to tear up because she has been waiting so long for them to finally get married and she will be able to be baptized! I am so sad I won't be able to be there and we both teared up saying goodbye, but I am so happy for her and grateful for the opportunity to have been part of her story

- On Wednesday Hermana Kiefer and I headed down to Madrid for transfers!! We made it to the office in the evening and then got some yummy dinner! Then the next day Hermana Kiefer got her new companion who she is training and we said goodbye as I headed off to my new area. I just love Hermana Kiefer so much and it was a hard goodbye but I am so excited for her!
- Thursday was my first day in my new area and I love it!! We had a sports activity and met with our friend Vicky who is really cool!
- On Friday we taught English class and had a lesson with our friend Johanna who is super awesome! She has so much faith and we are just praying that she can get work off on Sundays to be able to come to church!
- On Saturday we met with a cute new friend named Gabriela and she brought her cute little 2 year old son! We had a great lesson and she's super interested in meeting to learn more and progress towards baptism!
- On Saturday night we called our friend Janete to ask if they were still able to come to church and if we could visit them, and she said, "yes, and my daughter Angela and I want to get baptized!!" They came to church the next day and then we met with them that night and set up a plan for when we could meet and they are praying about a day to be baptized! It was so amazing!
Miracle:
On Thursday I called a referal we received named Kes and invited him to our sports activity! He ended up coming but when we had finished our lesson with Vicky he had left to head back home. We decided to call him to see how far he had gotten and he told us he would come back because he wanted to learn more! We ended up having an amazing lesson with him where he said he has been thinking a lot about baptism lately and wants to learn more! Then we met with him on Saturday and as we taught him the first vision, he said, "This is true. I believe!" The spirit was soo strong in the lesson and we are so exited for him! He also came to church on Sunday and loved it! He is a miracle

Spiritual thought:
This week I am really learning the power of prayer! Something I am learning on my mission is how to appreciate change as a chance to grow, but that doesn't mean it's always easy. This week as I went through a lot of change, I really learned to turn to the Lord in prayer for peace and direction and I truly felt His strength! I know that through good times and challenging times if we truly use prayer as an opportunity to lean on the Lord and allow Him to strengthen us, we will be more confident, faithful, and joyful!
I love you all so much and I would love to hear an update on how life is going!
