13 months and a new nephew!
This week was a week full of ups and downs and a lot of learning! We had a lot of spiritual moments in lessons with our friends and some disappointments with how they used their agency as well. BUT the work keeps moving forward and I'm excited to work hard with faith this next week and see what God has planned for us!
Highlights:
- This week we taught our friend Vicky about the Plan of Salvation this week and she loved it! I love watching people learn about this plan for the first time because it truly is life changing!! We are so blessed to know our purpose in this life and all that we have to look forward to in the next!
- We visited a few of our recent converts Arissa and Joshua and his mom Lina on Tuesday and we taught them about the covenant path! They all have the desire to make it to the temple and the spirit was so strong as we testified of how they can get there!
- On Wednesday the cutest member named Yovanna took us out to icecream and it was sooo good (enough to make us go back to get it the next day to celebrate my 13 months and my cute new nephew being born)! We had so much fun chatting with her and being able to share a message of hope with her!
- On Thursday we had Zone conference and it was awesome! It was our first zone conference with President and Hermana Grow and they are amazing!! My companion and I also got to give a training and it went pretty well! Overall I just felt the Spirit so much and I am so excited to spend the last 6 months of my mission with the Grows!
- We have been meeting with our friend Elia for a while now on videocall but we haven't been able to have her at church because both times that she has tried to come she has gotten lost trying to get here from her pueblo. BUT on Saturday we decided that we would meet in the church so she could practice getting there before Sunday! She made it to the station and we walked with her from there and she made it! Then we had a super spiritual lesson about the Restoration of the church which she loved and she was so excited to have her own copy of the Book of Mormon!
- On Saturday we had a call with our friend Kes from Nigeria who is super awesome but has been struggling to come to church because he feels awkward with the language barrier as he only speaks English! So we invited the cutest member named Sylvie who is also from Nigeria to come to our lesson and she was able to share her experience of joining the church while not knowing any Spanish and how the Lord strengthened and helped her and it was awesome!! Her son Dylan also gave the sweetest prayer at the end asking that Kes would feel welcome and be able to come to church and I just teared up

- On Saturday I made the goal to get 2 peoples numbers in the street and invite them to church. Well it was about 8:30pm and we still hadn't found anyone interested so we decided to do some contacting in the park to invite people to church and as we walked by a bench I decided to talk to the 2 girls sitting there! They both ended up being interested in coming to church so we were able to get their numbers and they said they would come the next day! It was so cool to see how the Lord provides as we act in faith

Miracle:
On Sunday we decided to walk 30 minutes to our friend Janete's house who has been going through a really hard time recently to bring her cookies and get the chance to talk to her a bit! So, we walked all the way out there just praying that she would be there and willing to talk to us! We rang the doorbell, and nothing happened so I rang it again and as we were waiting I just said a silent prayer to God asking Him to show me why we needed to come out here and to give us a chance to serve them and immediately after amen the door started to open and Janete's daughter Angela who we've been teaching opens the door!! We were able to talk to her and see how she's doing and give her the cookies and I was able to leave feeling so grateful that God answered my prayer and I know He listens to me!
Spiritual Thought:
On Sunday during my study I decided to bring a question to my study to try and help me be focused in what I am searching for and find answers and as I was studying I came across a scripture that was exactly what I needed to hear! It says,
"23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full."
I know that whatever we ask the Lord in faith He will bless us with according to His will and especially the answers to our questions! I invite you all to bring a question to your next study and recognize the answers that God is giving you

I love you all so much and please feel free to reach out any time!
