One Year in Spain!

Hola mis amigos! 

Wow this week absolutely flew by and it was an awesome one! We have been so blessed here in Torrejón with people to find and teach and I'm so grateful to be here! It was also a little bit cooler this week so that was amazing!!

Highlights:

- Last pday we went to the Europe park here in Torrejón with our district and it was super cool! There are lots of small sized versions of famous sites in Europe and it was super cool!

- On Tuesday we had exchanges with the Sanse hermanas and I got to be in Sanse with Hermana Wright! She is literally an angel and we had so much fun being companions for the day on our year mark of living in Spain!

- On Wednesday we finally got to meet with our adorable recent convert Jane!! She is soo cute and has the strongest testimony of the church and the restored gospel! Right now she is not able to come to church because of work, but we are planning on meeting every Wednesday morning now and I'm excited! I love her  

- On Wednesday we met with our super cool new friend named Hilaria! She is from Ecuatorial Guinea and she is so open to learning new things! We taught her about the Book of Mormon and she said, "well yeah that makes sense! Why would God stop giving us more guidance!" We're super excited to keep teaching her!

- We went and ate lunch with our besties Angie and her son Ian on Friday and I just absolutely adore them! She is going through a tough time right now, and I just love being able to go over and bring some light and love in her home and support her as friends!

- On Friday we also met with our new friend Olenka! As we sat waiting for the bus a lot of time had passed and we were about to give up that it wasn't going to come and right then the bus rolled up! Then when we got there we couldn't find her and then she ended up being right in front of us! And we called our friend Danny who ended up living really close and he helped us in the lesson! She is super sweet and looking to grow and change and I love her!

- We met with our sweet friend Karen two more times this week and she is amazing!! We gave her the Book of Mormon last Friday and she has already read well into 2 Nephi and not only is she reading, she is studying!! In our lesson on Friday she ended up having a list of super intelligent questions about what she had read and it was amazing!! She also came to church again this Sunday and brought a friend!!

- We met our new friend Javier on Saturday and he is super cool! He had already talked to missionaries in his country but had never taken the time to actually visit our church, so when he saw our church here in Spain he decided it was his time to come learn more! We had a great lesson with him on Saturday and he came to church on Sunday and loved it!

Miracle: 

On thursday we were inviting people on Facebook to come to our volleyball activity that we have Thursday nights and a woman reached out to me and said she was interested! Her name is Lorena and she ended up coming with her adorable son Miguel! They moved here super recently and they were looking for a community! We were able to teach her a bit and one of our awesome members invited her to church on Sunday and it was super awesome! They are so cute and we're excited to keep teaching them! 

Spiritual Thought:

Something I have been learning a lot since coming on the mission is that no matter what we are going through in life, we can have joy in Jesus Christ if we have faith in Him! This week in my study I read this verse in Alma 31,

38 And the Lord provided for them that they should hunger not, neither should they thirst; yea, and he also gave them strength, that they should suffer no manner of afflictions, save it were swallowed up in the joy of Christ. Now this was according to the prayer of Alma; and this because he prayed in faith.

I know that there is no pain or trial in our life that cannot be swallowed up in the joy of Christ! He is my joy and my strength and I am so grateful to have Him at my side every day
