New Girls in Town!

Hola mis queridos amigos!

This past week has been an absolute whirlwind but it has been amazing!! On Wednesday after the Temple we headed to the office and I got the keys for my new piso and I started trying to call some of our friends to get things ready for when me and my new companion arrived. Then on Thursday, I met my new companion Hermana Telford!! She is from Idaho and came straight from the MTC and she is soo cute! We had a few meetings on Thursday and then we somehow managed to get all our bags on the train and headed out to our new area! Logroño is absolutely adorable and I love it already!

Highlights:
- On the train, there was a lady sitting next to us and the whole ride I had the feeling I should talk to her but I kept waiting and eventually I decided I was going to compliment her outfit! She ended up being super nice and spoke English!! Her name is Lola and she's from a town outside of Logroño and we were able to have the coolest conversation about what we do as missionaries and in our church! She was super kind and it was so cool to just plantas a seed and share about our message!
- On Friday morning we went to the church to meet with our friend Nelly and she ended up bringing her mom because it turns out they were the two ladies that I found on my exchange with Hermana Egbert in Logroño 2 transfers ago!! Nelly had told her mom that I would be there and she decided to come to the lesson! We had a great lesson with them and they both came to church on Sunday!!
- On Friday night, there was a goodbye party for the Elder who just finished his mission serving here who was visiting with his parents! A few members came and we played some games and it was so fun to get to meet some people and have fun!! (He was also able to give me some much needed advice about the area which was awesome!)
- On Saturday morning we went to visit our recent convert Arellys' mom Carola in her house! Her husband Joseph ended up being there too and we were able to have an awesome lesson with them! They are so faithful!!
- On Saturday we also visited our recent convert named Eli and her husband Luis and they are soo cute!! They read the Book of Mormon every day together and I loved hearing their testimonies ☺️
- On Saturday we had English class and afterwards we met with our friends Fai and Thomas! They are sooo cool! I asked Fai what she has learned so far and she said, "the importance of baptism", amazing!! They both came to church on Sunday and absolutely loved it! Thomas is 11 and he told me, even if she can't go, I will be here every Sunday! Soo cute!!

Miracle:
The members here in Logroño are some of the kindest, most thoughtful people ever!! On Thursday night while we were on the train, we were just contemplating how we were going to get all of our bags from the train station all the way to our new piso (an over 30 minute walk) when we got a text from a member asking us if we knew how to get to our piso and offering to help us find a ride!! When we got to the station there was the cutest couple Luciana and Cesar waiting for us! They loaded us up in the car and drive us all the way to our piso and it was soo nice ❤️

Spiritual Thought:
It has been so fun to watch my comp experience so many things for the first time as she starts her mission and it has made me reflect a lot on my mission and all of the experiences I have had and I am just so grateful!! This truly is a great work and we are so blessed to be a part of it!!
I invite you all to find one way at home to be a little more involved in missionary work and I promise you it will bless your lives with so much joy!

I love you so much and I would love to hear from you, please!!
