16 Months and the Book of Mormon is True

Hola mis queridos amigos!! 

This week was another great week with some ups and downs mixed in as usual! I hit 16 months as a missionary and it's honestly scary how fast time is going  We found some awesome new friends and I am working to accept the way some of our other friends use their agency, but the work keeps moving forward and I know God is in control!

Highlights:

- This week we got a referall named Edilson and we were able to have a few videocalls with him. He's super interested in the Atonement and finding peace and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. I always love being able to testify that I know Christ is my Savior and He has the power to heal ANYONE that comes to Him!

- This week we were finally able to meet with our friend Mayra who brought all her friends to our first lesson! She is soo cool and interested in getting closer to God and changing her life! She watched church on Sunday and she's super excited to come next week! 

- We went to visit Carola again and we brought her cookies! She's still feeling pretty bummed about her broken foot, but Hermana Stefani met us at her house to visit and she was able to give her advice and comfort that was perfect for her! 

- This Thursday we had zone conference in Bilbao and it was awesome!! We talked about how we can be more obedient, dedicated missionaries and not be afraid to offer people the gift of baptism! I just left feeling inspired to give it my all to be an obedient spirit-led, Book of Mormon missionary for my last transfer 

- On Friday we drove out to a pueblo called Arnedo to visit some less active hermanas and it was so fun!! (Except for trying to get the car through the tiniest streets I've ever seen haha) We visited Ingrid first and she is so cute! She had a Book of Mormon with all of the signatures of the hermanas who hag visited her before and it was so sweet! Then we met Juliana in her store and she is so awesome! We helped her find where the church is on the map and how to get there, and we got to share a spiritual message with her and her cousin and coworker who listened in!!

- On Saturday we had a super fun activity with the young adults where we decorated cakes!! A cute member named Clarissa brought her two friends and we had a great time!

- We met with Thomas again this Saturday and he is just incredible!! It has been so wonderful to watch the gospel change him and he is growing so much every time we meet! I am so proud of him and excited to see him make a covenant with God and keep going on to be an amazing missionary one day 

Miracle: 

This Saturday to finish up English class it was my turn to share the spiritual thought and I just felt like I should talk about church and invite everyone to come. Right after a lady who had been next to me during the class came up to me and asked, "Can I come to church tomorrow?" I said of course!! Her name is Clara and the next day she came!! She met some of the members and we were able to teach her about the Book of Mormon and set up a time to meet this week! She is so awesome and I'm super excited about her!

Spiritual Thought: 

This week during Zone conference President Grow taught us about the power of the Book of Mormon and invited us to read it twice in the next 2 transfers. Since I only have one more transfer I decided I will read it at least once before I go home. As I have been reading, I have been reminded of how powerful the Book of Mormon is! I know that it is true and will change lives as we choose to read it! I invite you all to read the Book of Mormon and recognize the power it brings into your life!
