My heart doth magnify his holy name.
This was an awesome and crazy week full of tearful goodbyes and miracles here in Logroño! I sent my companion off to her new area and may have shed a few tears watching her walk away with her new companion
Then I picked up my cute new companion Hermana Thompson and we headed back to Logroño! I love this place so much and I am excited to give it my all here this transfer!
Highlights:
- On Tuesday night we met with Marlen, Oliana, and Abbin again and it was such a spiritual lesson! They are so genuinely curious and have a desire to learn more which is awesome! Then they came to church on Sunday and loved it!!
- On Wednesday we went to visit Carola again and she is doing so well! Our bestie Clarissa (from the states) agreed to come with us and it turns out the school she works at is right across the street from Carola's house, so it was perfect! Clarissa amazes me, because even though she is new here in Spain and learning Spanish, she is always willing to share her strong testimony and it's so inspiring!
- On Wednesday we went down to Madrid and I had to part ways with Hermana Telford
i will miss her. Then, I met my new companion and she is so cute! We had a few calls and the next day we drove back to Logroño and got to visit the cutest member named Iris! I love her

- On Friday we had a videocall with our new friend Yuliana! She was a friend that I had been calling for weeks to see if she would be interested and she told us that she decided since we had been so persistent she would give us a chance and we had a great lesson! I will always be a fan of pleasant persistence

- On Friday we met with cutie Clara and had an amazing lesson!! We taught her about the gospel of Jesus Christ and baptism, and I felt like we should extend a baptismal invitation, so we did and she accepted!! She now has a baptismal date for the end of November and I'm so excited for her!!
- On Friday night we went to visit this adorable hermana named Maria Paulina who is no longer able to come to church because of health issues but is so faithful! She is adorable and made us feel so welcome and I love her!
- This week we got the official green light from our friend Thomás' mom for his baptism and I was soo excited and relieved! We had a lesson Saturday night to go over the interview questions and my companion and hermana Johanna who joined us were amazed by his maturity and understanding of the gospel!! He is so faithful and absolutely going to change his family's lives by his example of following Jesus Christ

- This Sunday we had a 8 people come to church and it was amazing! I just feel SO blessed to be serving the Lord here in Spain and especially with the announcement of the new Madrid East mission, I couldn't be more grateful for the way the Lord is hastening His work here in this country that I love

Miracle:
On Tuesday we met with our cute friend Yuri again who we contacted on the bus a few weeks ago and we had a miracle lesson!! An hermana had agreed to meet us in the park for the lesson, but 5 minutes before she let us know that she wasn't going to be able to make it, so decided to call our bestie Margarita to see if she could share her testimony with Yuri by videocall and she said yes! Then during the lesson, we were teaching Yuri about baptism and we called Margarita to share her experience! She shared her beautiful testimony and right after Yuri started crying and told us that was exactly what she needed to hear! We then invited her to be baptized, and she said yes!! It was amazing! We just have to help her find a new job that allows her to come to church in person on Sundays so pray for Yuri!!
Spiritual Thought:
As I was studying in the Book of Mormon this morning I read a verse in 2 Nefi 25 :13 where Nephi says the quote from the title of this email and I thought it fit perfectly with how I have felt this week! Change is never easy and if you knew me before my mission you know that it has never been my strong suit, but something my mission has taught me is how to appreciate change and challenges as opportunities to strengthen my relationship with my Savior. This week as I navigated the changes and the feelings of anticipation approaching the end of my mission, I had many sacred moments in prayer where the Lord taught me, comforted me, and strengthened me through His spirit! Because of these experiences and so many more on my mission where I have drawn closer to my Savior in times of uncertainty, "my heart doth magnify his holy name." I know that Jesus Christ lives and He wants to comfort, strengthen, and heal us every day!
I invite you all to use your difficult moments to turn to your Savior, and I promise you He will be there

I love you all so much! Have a wonderful week!
Hermana Hardy
