Thomas got baptized and I forgot how to cook!

Hola mis queridos amigos!!

This was an awesome week full of miracles and soo many member meals! We ate with members every day this week, which is not super common here in Spain, and it was all delicious! However, we were so stuffed from lunch every day that my companion and I didn't make dinner a single day this week! Hence the title, I'm forgetting how to cook, but I'm not mad about it in the slightest! We have the most incredible ward here in LogroΓ±o and I am so grateful for their example of faithful service! I love them all so much!

Highlights:
- ThomΓ‘s got baptized πŸŒŠπŸŒŠ On Wednesday we had ThomΓ‘s' baptism!! He was so excited and just so prepared! It has been such a pleasure to be able to teach him and I am so proud of His faith! His mom and grandma came and a good amount of the ward came which was awesome for a Wednesday afternoon!
- On Tuesday we went to Hermana Sucy's house and she invited our friend Nelly to come!! She made us the most delicious Bolivian food and we had a great lesson with Nelly as well! They are amazing!
- On Tuesday we were able to meet with our bestie Yuri in the church so she could see it! She isn't able to come to church in person right now because of her job, but it was great to have a lesson there and she told us she is going to talk to her boss about getting the morning off on Sundays to be able to come! Hermana Stefani came to join us and we had a an awesome lesson about the Plan of Salvation! Stefani brought her little son Pablo and he slept on the floor the whole time which was adorable πŸ₯Ή
- On Tuesday we decided to try and stop by a less active member's house who we've been trying to get in contact with for a while. We rang on the doorbell and she came out to greet us and she was so excited to see us! Her name is Nadia and she told us that we were an answer to her prayers πŸ₯²
- On Wednesday after ThomΓ‘s' baptism, Clarissa invited us over to dinner in her apartment and it was so cute! Fernanda came and they ran into Marcela on the way so we all had a cute little dinner and message and it was great!
- On Thursday we met with our friend Olga again and she is so cute! We were able to help her with English and share a message about Jesus Christ and she is excited to come to church! (She was sick on Sunday but she is planning on coming next week!)
- On Friday we went out to a pueblo to meet with a less active hermana named Kiara and she is soo cute! She served a mission and has just felt a little distant from God and the church. I just felt soo much love for her during our lesson and it was so spiritual ☺️
- On Saturday we had a lesson with our cute friend Paulina and Luciana came to help us and it was perfect!! They are both so cute and clicked super well which was so awesome! Paulina is super open and I'm excited for her!
- On Sunday we were able to go visit our friends Oliana and Marlen in their piso and we had an awesome lesson! We taught them about the restoration and the spirit was so strong! I love them πŸ’—

Miracle:
On Thursday morning we were leaving an appointment in our friends house and we passed the portal where a woman was entering the apartment building with her baby and she said, "I can't believe it! Hermanas do you have a Book of Mormon you could give me?" We told her of course, and I handed her the Book of Mormon in my hand! It turns out she has been a member most of her life, but hasn't attended church since moving to Spain. She lost her Book of Mormon in the move and she has been wanting to get one but didn't know how! We had a good chat, got her number, and we're going to visit her this week! Her name is Mary Leny and it was such a cool miracle of the Lord putting us in the right place at the exact right time!

Spiritual Thought:
Something we have been sharing with members recently is about what it means to truly worship God instead of just going through the motions. We shared this quote yesterday that I wanted to share from Elder Christofferson's talk "Worship". It says,

"Ultimately, how we live may be the best, most genuine form of worship. Showing our devotion means emulating the Father and the Son—cultivating Their attributes and character in ourselves. If, as the saying goes, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then we might say with respect to Deity, emulation is the sincerest form of veneration. This suggests an active, sustained effort on our part to seek holiness. But becoming more Christlike is also the natural outcome of our acts of worship. Elder Kearon’s phrase cited earlier about worshipping “in a way that transforms us” is significant. True worship is transformative."

I know as we make an effort to worship God not just with our words, but with who we are, He will change us! Then way we live our lives and the people we become can be a reflection of our love for God and our desire to worship Him!

I love you all so much! Have a great week!
