Happy December!
I cannot believe it is already December!! Time just seems to be flying too fast. We had another great week full of lessons with friends, members, and miracles as always. Something I have learned on my mission is that as we look for miracles, God always provides. I know He guides us as we choose to open our hearts and minds to His Spirit and He blesses us as we obey
Highlights:
- On Tuesday we went to visit an old friend named Esper, and when we got there her adorable aunt named Ana was there! We ended up having a spiritual lesson with them about Jesus Christ and they said they wanted to start coming to church!
- On Wednesday we went to the Herreros house in Soria for district council and afterwards we ate a Thanksgiving meal that was actually super yummy! We brought a package to make just add water mashed potatoes and they kind of turned out like plato but they tasted good!!
- On Wednesday night we had a lesson with Thomas and his mom and grandma came again! We had a really good lesson and I am so grateful that they are so supportive of him.
- On Thursday we went to visit Carola and her partner Joseph had just lost his father so he joined us in the lesson. We were able to teach about the Plan of Salvation and by the end of the lesson we were all in tears. I love teaching about God's plan for us because it always brings the Spirit so strong and we feel so much peace!
- This week we had the goal to invite as many people in the street as we could to church and we had a lot of great experiences!! We met lots of super sweet people who were interested in learning more and coming to church! We got a lot of people's numbers and it was a happy miracle for us

- On Friday we went to visit our besties Marlen, Oliana, and Abbin and they are so cute!! They made us food for a late Thanksgiving and then we had another spiritual lesson! I love them

- On Sunday we went to visit the cutest less active member named Chelo and we had a great lesson with her! She was the cutest spaniard lady and it was so good to hear her story and bring the Spirit into her home

Miracle: On Friday we were leaving a friends house and were looking for a bench to do a videocall when we notice that Hna Thompson's phone had 1 percent so we ran into a kebab (common fast food restaurant) to charge it. Our friend didn't end up answering, but as we were calling some of our contacts I called a friend that Hna Petroni and I had contacted in the street during our exchange who when we asked her if she was interested in learning more said, "Mucho! (A lot)" but then we hadn't been able to get in contact since. Her name is Magali and she ended up picking up and being available in that moment, so we had a videocall and the sweetest hermana Charo agreed to help us and we had an awesome lesson with her! We felt the spirit super strong even in the kebab!!
Spiritual Thought: This week I have been feeling so grateful for the scriptures and the guidance that they bring into my life!! I have always tried to have that habit of reading my scriptures but it wasn't until I came on the mission that I realized how essential they are to maintain my faith and teach me about Jesus Christ! I read this verse in Alma 33:44 and I think it sums it up pretty well,
"Now behold, my brethren, I would ask if ye have read the scriptures? If ye have, how can ye disbelieve on the Son of God?"
I know that the scriptures and especially the Book of Mormon testify of Jesus Christ, and as we read them, we will feel closer to Him and recieve the spiritual nourishment that we need
So if you're feeling a little unmotivated to study your scriptures or need some guidance in your life or you just want to feel closer to your Savior, I invite you to read the Book of Mormon because I promise it will strengthen your faith and give you the peace that only comes through Him!!
