My First Week in Spain!!

Image
Hola mis amigos!! It's been a while since I've been able to write, but here's the update! I'm alive and I'M IN SPAIN!! It's my first p-day since getting to Spain, and I already love it here so much! We had our last Sunday in the MTC, and my district did a musical number called "The Miracle" in sacrament meeting which had us all tearing up because it's a great song about Jesus Christ and you should all go listen to it 💛  Then we got all packed up on Monday and we had our last class together, and we shared our testimonies! I love each member of my district so much and I know God put each of us together for a reason to bless each other, and even though that made it really hard to say goodbye, I am SO grateful for my MTC experience and the teachers and district members that I love so dearly!  Then Tuesday morning came, and we left to start our travel day at... 3:30am! Honestly it was one of the longest days of my life, but we were blessed to be able t...

Spanish immersion and a week of miracles!!

Image
Hola mis amigos!! Wow, this week was amazing!! First off, I want to say that this week I had a huge reminder from God that he knows me personally and He is taking care of me throughout this whole process! I have witnessed so many miracles and tender mercies throughout my time here at the MTC and especially this week! I know that God has a plan for each of us individually and He cares about each of our efforts to follow Him and wants to remind us that we are NEVER ALONE! Anyway, this week was great! Mi amiga Claire got here on Wednesday and I was able to find her on Thursday (there are a LOT of missionaries here these days) and it was so fun to be able to see her and give her a big hug!  This week we also started SYL or (speak your language) which means that my district and I are trying to speak in only Spanish to each other for the rest of our time here at the MTC! It has definitely been a challenge, but I have also already seen the benefits and God's hand supporting us a...

There is so much joy in the work!

Hola mis amigos!! I had another fantastic week here at the MTC! The weeks are really starting to fly by! This week we had the special treat of celebrating the 4th of July and it was a blast! We got to finish class a little early on Thursday and go out to get ice cream and watch the fireworks from the stadium!! Everyone was dressed up in red, white, and blue and I loved it! Something I am learning here is that when I am giving my all to the work I am doing, the Lord is able to bless me with so much joy in even the smallest of things. I know Heavenly Father sent us to the Earth to learn and grow, but He also meant for us to be joyful as we learn to turn to His son Jesus Christ!    I have also been finding so much joy in Spanish this week! We have officially been doing Spanish immersion for almost two weeks now and it is so amazing to see the Lord's hand helping me and all my district members grow so quickly in such a short time. Speaking of my distr...

God is in the details!!

Image
Hola mis amigos!!  This week was definitely a week of miracles! I have felt so much peace and comfort during my time in the mtc and I just want to start off by saying that I know God is in the details of our lives! He knows our thoughts and the desires of our hearts and wants to bless us as we turn to Him and His son Jesus Christ! I also know that Jesus Christ's grace is REAL and He can help you with anything you are struggling with in life because I know He has helped me feel joy and peace as I have grown my faith in Him! On another note, we started Spanish immersion this week and it is a blast!! It's definitely an adjustment to try to learn Spanish in Spanish and our brains definitely hurt after 7 hours of total Spanish every day, but it has actually been going pretty well! I know the Lord is supporting me as I try to learn this language and through Him I can do anything! Please pray for me though :) I've also been having a blast with my district! They are all so fun, won...
